My Victory Over Cancer is Magalie Hall’s story of going from having 6 to 18 months to live, to total victory over liver cancer 10 years ago through nutritional and faith-based methods. She believes in prayer, stress elimination, detoxification, building the immune system, proper nutrition and easy cooking methods. Her very specific nutritional program is not cheap, requiring a juicer, a water distiller, surgical stainless steel cookware and some supplements. But it is a lot cheaper than conventional medicine! Her advocacy of distilled water was bothersome, because it can leach minerals from the bones. Alkalized water is a much better alternative. Aside from that, there is little to argue with in her program. She has testimonials from people who beat colon cancer and breast cancer, as well as a variety of other illnesses. Her program can be used with or without conventional medicine. The bonus gifts are two email newsletters, one called Victory Recipes and one called Victory Tools that covers new tips, methods, products and resources. This book has very detailed detoxification and nutritional information, written by a woman who has been through the cancer mill. At $19.95 it is so cheap you probably should own it just for the recipes. I would not recommend it as the only cancer therapy book in your digital library, but it definitely has its place unless the faith-based message turns you off. |
